eRecovery

«eRecovery»: FOR WHOM AND HOW TO GET IT?

The Ukrainian government’s eRecovery program is an initiative to provide compensation to Ukrainians for housing destroyed or damaged as a result of hostilities. The program started on May 10, 2023. “eRecovery” initially made it possible to receive a maximum of 200 thousand hryvnia, which could be used to purchase construction materials or services of contractors registered in the program.

At the beginning of August 2023, the Recovery program was significantly expanded, introducing a new opportunity to receive a housing certificate as compensation. This certificate can be used to invest in real estate or purchase housing on the primary or secondary market in the absence of regional restrictions.

Various categories of persons can apply for compensation, such as combatants who became disabled as a result of participation in the war, veterans, family members of deceased military personnel, mobilized persons, large families, persons with disabilities of the first and second categories, teachers of family-type orphanages , guardians and trustees, adoptive parents and foster carers, as well as minor orphans and children without parental care.

To participate in the “eRecovery” program, you must submit an application through the “Action” service. Later, this opportunity will become available at administrative service centers, notaries and social protection departments.

On the “Action” platform, in the “Services” section, you need to select the appropriate option, report the damaged property, indicate its classification, area, location, contact information and, if necessary, attach an image and a detailed description of the damage.

You must complete the process in the “Submit an application for payment” section. After this, all you have to do is wait for a phone call from the local authorities for the commission to inspect the property and determine the amount of assistance provided, which you will be informed about through the “Action” service.
