Damping tape
Damping tape is used for filling the screed without cracks
Expansion tape with an apron is used in construction to create expansion joints in concrete screeds. Its main function is to prevent cracking of the screed during drying and temperature fluctuations by compensating for its linear expansion.
Properties:
- Cushioning – serves as an expansion joint for the concrete screed, which expands during drying and temperature changes, which can lead to cracking;
- Thermal and sound insulation – reduces heat loss and increases sound insulation where it is installed in the concrete screed (floor and wall joints);
- Sealing – can be used as a sealant in various building structures.
Order damping tape
How it works:
- The tape is laid around the perimeter of the room so that its height is 2-3 cm higher than the screed;
- Secured to the wall using a construction stapler, double-sided tape, or construction adhesive;
- To prevent concrete from leaking under the damper tape, its apron (polyethylene tape) should be placed on the floor under the concrete screed;
- After the work is fully completed, excess tape is cut off at the level of the screed or torn off along the perforation lines located along the damper tape;
